Angela believes in creating a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to present authentically and discuss daily challenges. She holds a Master’s Degree from Aspen University and specializes in addictions with a focus on trauma-centered care. Angela is certified to provide therapy by the Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Professional Certification Association and is also specially trained in the treatment of gambling disorder and domestic violence support.
Angela has experience with and is passionate about working with diverse populations, including individuals experiencing substance use disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, mood and personality disorders, anxiety, and depression. She understands the impact of relationship complications and life transitions, and how these events can affect motivation and the ability to cope. Angela is committed to meeting clients where they are in their therapeutic journey and adopting strategies from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), internal family systems therapy (IFS), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) to assist them in reaching their treatment goals.
When Angela is not working, she enjoys the cultural landscape of Chicago through the arts, as well as spending time with close friends and her cat, Siggy (short for Sigmund).
