Medication Management for Anxiety, Depression, ADHD & Trauma Recovery

Thoughtful, evidence-based prescribing with whole-person care and tight collaboration with your therapist.

Let’s Start Here

You’ve been carrying a lot—pushing through anxious spirals, low mood, racing thoughts, distraction, or the aftershocks of trauma. Maybe you’ve tried to figure it out alone, or you’re unsure about medication and want something that still feels like you. With Joseph, medication decisions are collaborative and paced; you’ll explore options, side-effects, and benefits together—grounded in evidence and tailored to your life.

What would you say to someone who’s nervous or unsure about starting therapy?

Hi, I’m Joseph Beeman, a psychiatric nurse practitioner at Tides Mental Health. If you’re nervous about starting medication, that’s completely normal. We’ll take it step by step—discuss what you’re feeling, your goals, and what matters most to you. My job isn’t to ‘put you on meds’; it’s to help you make an informed choice and find a plan that helps you feel more steady, present, and like yourself.

What It’s Like to Work Together

Your first visit focuses on you: your story, symptoms, history, and goals. Joseph’s approach blends evidence-based prescribing with an integrative lens—considering sleep, stress, relationships, identity, and nervous-system regulation. You’ll co-create a plan that might include medication, lifestyle supports, and coordination with your therapist or PCP. Follow-ups track progress, fine-tune dosing, and adjust based on what’s actually changing day-to-day.

What can clients expect it to feel like in a session with you?

Sessions with me feel collaborative and calm. I’ll ask questions, listen closely, and explain options in clear language. We set goals together and make changes at a pace that feels safe. You’ll leave with a plan you understand—and support between visits so you’re not figuring it out alone.

What’s one reason you’re passionate about the work you do?

I’ve spent my career in integrated settings, supporting people through real-world challenges—anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and the complexity that comes with life. I love this work because small, steady changes can open up your day—to focus, to connect, to rest. Helping you feel more like yourself again is why I’m here.
