Warm, empowering support—especially for first-time therapy seekers ready
to feel more in control.

Let’s Start Here
You’ve been holding it all together for so long that falling apart doesn’t feel like an option. But lately, it’s getting harder to ignore the racing thoughts, the exhaustion, the way your past keeps showing up in the present. Maybe this is your first time reaching out for support, and even the idea of therapy feels overwhelming. You might not know exactly what you’re looking for— just that something needs to shift. You want to feel more confident, more in control, and less weighed down by anxiety, trauma, or self-doubt. You’re ready for change, but you don’t want to do it alone.
What would you say to someone who’s nervous or unsure about starting therapy?
Hi, I’m Grace Rhee, and I’m a therapist at Tides Mental Health. If you’re
feeling unsure about therapy, that’s totally understandable. You don’t have
to know exactly what to say or do—together we can set goals to get you
where you want to be. Therapy is about having a space to be real and feel
supported and that starts with a trusting and safe therapeutic relationship.

What It’s Like to Work Together
In therapy, I offer a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where we move at a pace you are comfortable with. I specialize in helping clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use. Together we will build coping skills, explore patterns that no longer serve you, and set realistic, empowering goals. I use evidence-based modalities like CBT, DBT, ACT, and motivational interviewing—but what really matters is how these tools work for you. I utilize reflection, psychoeducation, and mindfulness practices to help you better understand yourself and regain a sense of agency in your life.
What can clients expect it to feel like in a session with you?
In session, you can expect a judgment-free space where you can address issues that are weighing you down. I’ll ask thoughtful questions and reflect back what I hear so you can gain clarity into thought and behavioral patterns. My approach is warm and client-centered—we’ll work together to find strategies that feel right for you.
What’s one reason you’re passionate about the work you do?
I’m passionate about therapy because I’ve seen how powerful it is when someone feels truly seen and heard—maybe for the first time. I love supporting clients to feel empowered and begin or continue on their healing journey. Witnessing client's strengths and growth motivate me to keep doing this work.
