Let’s Start Here
You’ve been carrying the weight of it all for too long—trying to stay strong while anxiety, sadness, or stress quietly chips away at your sense of balance. Maybe you’ve felt this way for months or even years. You’re doing your best, but something still feels off. Whether you’re adjusting to a major life change, navigating postpartum emotions, overwhelmed by family dynamics, or simply new to therapy and not sure where to start—you're here because you’re ready for things to feel different. More manageable. More grounded. More you.
What would you say to someone who’s nervous or unsure about starting therapy?
Hi, I’m Gina Alexandres, and I’m a therapist here at Tides Mental Health.
If you’re nervous about starting therapy, please know that’s completely
normal. It takes time to build trust, and I’ll meet you with patience, warmth,
and zero judgment. This is a space where you can bring whatever you’re
carrying—at your pace—and start to feel more grounded and seen.

What It’s Like to Work Together
In our work together, I’ll meet you exactly where you are—with warmth, compassion, and zero judgment. We’ll build a space where you can let your guard down and feel truly heard. I draw from evidence-based approaches like CBT, mindfulness, ACT, and psychodynamic therapy to help you explore what’s beneath the surface. That might mean challenging negative beliefs, reconnecting with your values, or learning tools to stay present in the moment. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, or past trauma, I’ll help you create healthier coping mechanisms and a stronger sense of self.
What can clients expect it to feel like in a session with you?
In session with me, you can expect a calm, welcoming vibe. I bring a patient and go-with-the-flow energy so you never feel pressured or judged. We’ll figure out what feels right together—whether that’s talk therapy, grounding techniques, or just having space to process at your own pace. It’s your time, your space.
