Therapy for Anxiety, Life Transitions & Building Confidence
Warm, collaborative support to help you feel more grounded, resilient, and like yourself again.
Let’s Start Here
Maybe you've been carrying more than you can hold lately. Anxiety keeps you up at night. The pressure at work or school feels relentless. Somewhere along the way, you stopped recognizing yourself — or maybe you're going through a change so big, it's hard to know which way is forward. You don't have to keep navigating this alone. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just quietly exhausted, therapy can be a space where you finally get to slow down, be honest, and start building something that actually feels like yours.
What would you say to someone who’s nervous or unsure about starting therapy?
Hi, I’m Maya, a therapist at Tides Mental Health. Starting therapy can feel like a big step — especially if you’re not sure what to expect or whether it’ll actually help. That’s completely okay. You don’t need to have it all figured out before we meet. I’m here to go at your pace, and together we’ll find a path that feels right for you. I’d love to connect — reach out to schedule a free consultation.

What It’s Like to Work Together
Sessions with me are warm, conversational, and completely tailored to where you are right now. You set the pace — there’s no pressure to dive into anything before you’re ready. We’ll build trust first, and let the work unfold from there. Together, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way — whether that’s anxious thought spirals, painful emotional patterns, low self-worth, or the weight of a difficult transition. We’ll use practical, evidence-backed tools to help you make sense of what you’re feeling and build skills you can actually use outside of our sessions. Collaboration is at the heart of how we work together. Your goals matter, your voice guides the process, and we’ll check in often to make sure the work is actually feeling meaningful to you.
What can clients expect it to feel like in a session with you?
A session with me feels like a real conversation — calm, open, and free from judgment. You can share what’s on your mind, or we can focus on a specific skill or situation you’re working through. There’s no agenda you need to come prepared with. My job is to make sure you feel heard and supported every step of the way.
What’s one reason you’re passionate about the work you do?
I became a therapist because I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel genuinely seen and supported — not judged, not rushed. I’ve worked with young people and adults facing some really hard things, and what moves me most is watching someone start to trust themselves again. That possibility is what drives my work every day.
